denim & long stitch, a handmade journal

Denim & Long Stitch
January 12, 2013; Saturday 10-4; $65 includes all materials
A new use for old blue jeans:  repurpose that denim into a cover for a sketchbook or journal.  Fold paper into a folio; stack folios into signatures and stitch signatures with Irish waxed linen to the soft denim cover.  The long stitch (binding) allows pages to lay flat for easy writing or drawing.  At the end of the day, you will have created a unique book to give as a gift or keep for yourself.  And as a bonus, you will know how do repeat the process at home.

funky felt pins

Shortly after I reopened ByLeandraSpangler on Etsy, I discovered Shoplocket.  Shoplocket is an easy to use system for selling items on FaceBook, Pinterest, your blog and website.  I've posted Funky Felt Pins on FB (Leandra Spangler), Pinterest (From me to you, this be yours), and now on An Emerald Ark.  The web site will be next, but I'll wait for a morning I feel super smart:-))

If you post items for sale online, let me know how it works for you.  I've just dipped my toes into the water and want to swim with the whales:-))

exploring marketing online

Q:  What to do with all of those little treasures I am compelled to create?
A:  List them on Etsy.  Check.  I fired up my Etsy shop (dormant since 2007), changed the shop name to ByLEANDRASPANGLER, updated my profile, images and listed three netted pebble pendants.  Tell me what you think.
